Written by Madeline Patton , on Thursday, December 08, 2022.

Mentor-Connect has selected its 11th cohort of mentee colleges. During a December 6 video conference Principal Investigator Elaine Craft praised the mentee teams from 24 colleges for choosing to do “such important work for your students, your college, and your employers, and for this country. You work in two-year community and technical colleges. You are on the front line of providing highly skilled technical and a knowledgeable technical workforce that is critical to the economy and security of our country and its territories.”

From January through September 2023, Mentor-Connect will provide the teams with mentoring and technical assistance to prepare proposals to the National Science Foundation’s Advanced Technological Education program. Each college team has two faculty members; most also have a college administrator and grant professional involved in planning the technician education innovation.
